Annual Thanksgiving Service
Thursday, November 26 at 10:00am Delivering the Thanksgiving message at our ecumenical service will be: Reverend Canon Mark Robinson Retired rector of St. Ann’s Episcopal Church in Old Lyme, CT and former rector of Calvary Church in Stonington Also participating in the service will be: Reverend Sunil Chandy Rector of Westerly’s Christ Episcopal Church Reverend David Stall Senior pastor of First Hopkinton Seventh Day Baptist Church _______________________ The traditional Thanksgiving offering, matched by the Chapel’s endowment, will be divided among four local charities: The Johnnycake Center of Westerly The Living Supplies Closet The Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center The WARM Center In this time of the pandemic and economic hardship, contributions to these charities are more crucial than ever. There will be baskets at the door to receive the offering. In addition, donations marked "Thanksgiving offering" can be made on our website or mailed to Watch Hill Chapel, 5 Bluff Avenue, Watch Hill, RI 02891. _______________________ Safety precautions, following CDC guidelines for faith-based gatherings, have been implemented in both the Sanctuary and Undercroft. Hand sanitizer, face masks and pews marked for social distancing will be available. Those attending in person are asked to wear face coverings on entering and exiting the Chapel. When the Sanctuary reaches capacity, extra, socially-distanced seating will be provided in the Undercroft, where the service will be simulcast.
