July 2011

July 18 - July 23 - Donate  and Replace - To be held in the Undercroft.  Please donate gently used sports equipment, scooters, helmets, outgrown blazers or Lilly dresses of all sizes, etc., and replace them by yourself, buying from our donations.  
Donations accepted from July 18th through July 22nd from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Sale dates:  July 23rd  9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  -  July 24th  11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  (when the Hymn Sing begins). 
All proceeds go to the tornado and flood victims across the mid-west and southern United States.
We need volunteers to receive donations and work at the sale. Community service credit available.

July 29  5:30 p.m. - The Watch Hill Improvement Society will host a Photography Show Opening Reception.  Show will be open to the public for viewing daily 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. through Sunday, August 7th.

August 15  7:30 p.m. - Jazz Quartet featuring saxophone, piano, bass and drums lead by Joe Parillo on piano, Chair of the Music Department at the University of Rhode Island and Grammy-nominated composer.

August 28  5:00 p.m. - Hymn Sing  HAS BEEN CANCELLED due to HURRICANE IRENE

August 29  7:30 p.m. - A Harpsichord Concert 
by Dr. Aymeric Dupre La Tour from Zuckermann Harpsichord International, based in Stonington, Connecticut (admission is free).  HAS BEEN CANCELLED due to HURRICANE IRENE

The Watch Hill Chapel and The Ocean House cordially invite you to attend the second Annual Christmas in Song at the Watch Hill Chapel. Organ music by Andrew Howell, Soloists: René de la Garza, Eileen Fiore, the Dunn's Corners Bell Ringers, and the AD Hock Carolers. 
Donations will be welcomed at the door for the Salvation Army. The Chapel will be heated for the occasion.
